Friends of ours regularly hike Mission Trails and posted a photo with the California Poppies. I immediately got a bug in my ear to take the two girls. So on a weekday after lunch, I packed up the two and decided to head out. Not knowing much about the trail system, I plugged in Mission Trails into my GPS and proceeded on our way. We parked at the Visitor’s Center (off Mission Gorge) and followed the signs to the Dam.
Unbeknownst to me, this would be a 2+ mile trek on a paved road. Luckily it was cool enough that the two didn’t overheat. The views were nice once we got to the dam. Sharing some photos of our hike … make that our walk … below. And next time I’ll know better which trailhead to park
